Note: Veltar automatically syncs weekly to keep the database fresh. Sources for the same are now fully visible on the Scalefusion dashboard. 

2. Battery Health for Apple Devices

Get actionable insights for the battery health of your Apple devices. Monitor battery health status for iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

• Where it appears: On the Scalefusion dashboard, in the device listing, inventory reports, and API (/api/v2/devices/{id}.json).

• Battery health values include: non-genuine | normal | service-recommended | unknown | unsupported

• Supported platforms include: iPhones & iPads: iOS/iPadOS 17+ (Pro M4, Air M2/M3, mini A17 Pro, iPad A16) and Mac: macOS 14.4+
  

3. Modernized macOS Update Management

Scalefusion leverages DDM (Device Deployment Management) for streamlined macOS updates, and now we’re taking it a step further. We’ve moved to Apple’s recommended approach of fetching OS updates via the Apple Lookup API for macOS 14 and above. 

Leverage precise mapping of every device to the Minor and Major OS updates it supports, allowing seamless and confident deployments.

What’s new:

• Accurate OS mapping: Every device is now matched to compatible Minor and Major OS updates based on Apple’s published data.

• Simplified update categories: Legacy “Config” and “Other” updates are retired, focusing only on meaningful OS updates.

• Legacy support: Devices running macOS versions older than 14 continue to be managed using the legacy approach.

• Better visibility: Admins can track update compatibility and deployment status with confidence, ensuring compliance and operational stability.
