1. Activation Lock management for macOS

Experience more flexibility in how Activation Lock is enforced and managed across your macOS devices. You can now manage Activation Lock on macOS devices directly from Scalefusion.

You can choose to:

  • Allow users to enable Activation Lock using their personal Apple IDs

  • Apply MDM-based Activation Lock, allowing any Apple Business Manager account to unlock the device

  • Enable both options together

This setting can be configured globally under Utilities > Global Settings > Apple Settings.

You can override these settings at the Profile level using the new Activation Lock section under Security & Privacy.

  1. Larger package uploads for macOS apps

Uploading large packages just got easier. Scalefusion no longer enforces a package upload size limit, allowing you to upload larger macOS application packages when needed.

To keep the upload experience smooth:

  • For Packages up to 500 MB, Scalefusion will attempt to automatically detect the bundle ID.

  • For Packages larger than 500 MB, you can enter the bundle ID manually during upload.

  1. General Enhancements

a. Easier group enrollment

The Group Enrollment Key is now available in both the Group Hierarchy report and the Group Information API, making it easier to automate and manage group-based enrollments.

b. More accurate audit trails in On-Prem Connector

Get a more reliable audit trail when reviewing configuration changes in the On-Prem Connector.

The Last Updated column now shows the admin who actually made the most recent change instead of the currently logged-in admin.

c. Correct sender details in COD invite emails

Corporate-Owned Device (COD) QR code invite emails sent to additional recipients now display the correct sender details instead of showing the main account owner's name in the email body.

This makes invite communication clearer when multiple recipients are involved.
