1. Updates to Scalefusion Android MDM Agent

To maintain compatibility with the latest devices, the Scalefusion Android MDM agent has been updated to use the most recent SDK version following Google’s guidelines.

The factory reset option has been removed for non-EMM-managed devices due to the API's deprecation.

A new remote command has also been introduced to manage the accounts that can be added to the Gmail app. Prevent users from adding personal accounts using Gmail in both CO and BYO modes.

Note: This is a major release and we recommend a phased rollout of the new version instead of a mass deployment.

  1. Enhancements to Apple Device Management

  • Updates to Password Policy

You can now set a specific duration after which a disabled account can log back into macOS devices using the "Reset Time After Max Failed Attempts" option. Additionally, you can now configure a 45-day password expiry period for iOS and macOS devices.

  • Profile changes

You can now easily find the deprecated settings under the macOS device profile section and configure essential and available policies with our UI enhancements.

To prevent accidental data sync issues, iCloud settings are now enabled by default for new profiles.

The "Require admin password to install or update apps" setting is now deprecated and has been set to false by default for new profiles.

We have introduced a new "Restrict to Admin Users Only" setting under OS Update settings to control the app and update permissions.

Note: Enabling this setting will block the silent installation of VPP and Enterprise applications, so the default is false.
