As we step into the summer months, here’s a fresh batch of updates to make managing your devices easier, smoother, and more secure. Let’s dive in.
Android
You can now show or hide the Scalefusion branding name on the home screen. Plus, choose whether to position the branding logo left-aligned or center-aligned.
You can also enable Device Information as a menu item on the home screen so your support teams can quickly access:
• Device Name
• Device ID
• IMEI#
• Serial#
• MAC Address
• Local IP Address
• Public IP AddressScreen orientation: You can lock the screen orientation to reverse landscape and reverse portrait, in addition to portrait and landscape.
Call control: Block all incoming calls on your EMM devices using the Call Assist app.
Note: You’ll need to push the Call Assist app from the Enterprise Store once activated.Lock screen options: Set the lock screen to None on your company-owned Android Enterprise devices if needed.
Developer SDK update: You can now allow approved third-party apps to remotely stop an app using a new MDM SDK API.
OS update & patch reports: Get enhanced update reports that separate critical and security updates. You can also now track Android device updates using EMM APIs for better visibility.
Windows
Keycard Enhancements
You can now enforce 2FA (OTP) during offline or local account login with Keycard. It supports third-party authenticators, and users will be prompted to set them up at their next online login.
Refresh policy settings directly from the login screen whenever needed.
Users can also log in using Windows Hello PIN, biometrics, or picture password if they’ve configured those options. Password change behavior improvements give you more control over biometric retention or resetting on password changes.
Scalefusion Windows MDM Agent UI
Enjoy a redesigned, modern MDM agent interface that makes the user experience smoother and more intuitive.
iOS ProSurf Browser Updates
Block copy/paste between ProSurf and other managed apps to stop data leaks. Plus, enjoy better compatibility with modern sites and app launches thanks to an updated Safari 16.0 user-agent.
Linux I/O DAC Phase 2
You can now enforce day/time and IP-based access restrictions for USB devices on Linux. Plus, USB peripheral reports now include Linux devices too.
New updates to OneIdP
Display Name Mapping for Microsoft 365/Entra User Management: You can decide how user display names are shown during sync—choose between Username or Firstname + Lastname.
OneIdP Multi-Directory User Handling: If your users span multiple directories like Microsoft and Google, OneIdP now supports managing them seamlessly with SSO and user management enabled.
Cross-Platform and General Updates
RBAC for Remote Commands: Take control over who in your team can create, edit, copy, delete, or run remote commands with new role-based access control. Default system roles already have full permissions.
Device Name-Based Automation for Groups: Automate group management based on device names using rules like “Contains,” “Starts with,” “Ends with,” or “Matches.” You can add multiple values to create smart, flexible groups—think all devices starting with “Pune,” “Texas,” or “Ontario.”
Developer APIs for Enrollment Configs: Use our new APIs to fetch enrollment configurations—like QR codes and URLs—for integration into your own portals or automation workflows.
Say hello to Scalefusion 360 Plan
