Here is a quick rundown on the new enhancements or fixes that we have released over the last week (12th June -16th June 2023)

  1. Enrollment Enhancements: For your employee owned or employee assigned devices for iOS, macOS and Windows devices, you can now use the Self Enrollment Portal based enrollment by following these steps.

    1. Create a Enrollment configuration of type Kiosk and associate the required User Group with the configuration

      1. Share the Enrollment code for the configuration and Enrollment Portal URL which is https://app.scalefusion.com/enroll

    2. Your employees can then do the following on iOS/macOS and Windows devices,

      1. Open https://app.scalefusion.com/enroll

      2. Enter the Enrollment Code

      3. Authenticate with their Company credentials

        1. If you have setup Azure AD, Google Workspace, Okta, Ping One or On-Prem Active Directory then the employees can use these credentials

      4. Complete the enrollment by downloading the iOS/macOS Profile or using the Windows Access to School or Work app

    3. These type of enrollment configurations can also be used to drive user based enrollment of Company Owned Android Zero-touch, Samsung KME or Apple ADE/DEP devices as well.

  2. Group Management Enhancements:

    1. Create Groups in Bulk: Now you can create groups and sub-groups in bulk, using Bulk Create Groups option. Simply download a sample CSV file, upload with the group names and sub-group names, attach the admin names and/or profiles that they should have and upload the CSV back.

    2. Adding User to a Group: Instead of a two step process of adding a user and then adding to a user group, you can now add the user to the group right when adding the user or adding them via CSV.

    3. User Group Information in Users Report: The user group information is also added in the Report that you download from User Enrollment > Download Report.

  3. Model Name for iOS/macOS Devices: We have added the friendly or the well known name for the iOS/macOS devices along with the alphanumeric model number reported by the device.

  4. Developer API Enhancements: The Device Actions API can now be used to send buzz, reboot and shutdown actions to the supported devices. You can use this API to perform the action on upto a 100 devices at one shot.

We hope these enhancements will make the device management experience with Scalefusion a wee bit better than what it is already. Do reach out to [email protected] or let us know how we are doing at [email protected].
