We’re closing out 2024 with exciting new Android updates, setting the stage for even better device management in 2025!
New features and enhancements:
Disable Wi-Fi MAC randomization: For Lenovo devices with CSDK, you can now disable MAC randomization across all Wi-Fi connections.
Disable media mounting: Prevent users from mounting media devices. For COPE devices, this is applied at the device level.
Control account additions: Restrict account additions to specific domains
Buzz devices with continuous ringing: Locate lost devices by enabling a keep-ringing option until dismissed.
Clear app data selectively: Allow users to clear app data for specific apps, giving flexibility with caution.
Suspend apps on BYO devices: Use a new remote command to suspend apps on employee-owned devices.
What’s new for corporate-owned devices:
Auto logoff on idle devices: Keep shared devices secure by automatically logging off idle users, configurable via user group settings.
Wi-Fi configuration fallbacks: Stay connected effortlessly with Wi-Fi switching enabled, even when configurations are enforced.
Set default SMS app: Easily define the default SMS app using the app delegation feature.
Choose your time format: Decide between 12-hour or 24-hour time formats for better usability.
Customize app name and logo: Personalize apps on home screen of the Scalefusion dashboard and reports with custom names, logos, and editable package names.
Remove accounts with ease: Remove all accounts except the allowed ones with just a click.
Broadcast messages made better
Add images to messages: Make Android broadcast messages visually engaging with image support.
Delete messages seamlessly: Remove unwanted messages from devices and halt deliveries to pending ones.
Smarter user management
Automatic User Deletion: Keep your user list tidy—automatically delete users synced from Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra.
Control Intercom Access: Use a new RBAC role to manage who can access Intercom chat in the portal.
